Plico was developed as a response to a design brief established between Nick Puckett Design and Designing Out Crime (DOC). DOC is a consultancy and design company that develops strategies, designs and solutions that aim to deter criminal behaviour.
DOC had established a manufacturing partner in the corrective services workshop located at Silverwater detention centre. The workshop is equiped for sheet metal fabrication. Their fabrication limitations helped direct the design of Plico.
